GradSchool offers the opportunity to gain internationally recognised programmes through The University of Newcastle. You can earn a Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, Master or Doctoral degree.

Your final qualification only states that you studied at The University of Newcastle, Australia.

Pay as you go:
The Online programmes administered by GradSchool are full fee-paying programmes, but you only pay for the postgraduate courses you take in the term that you attempt them, which means you don’t have to make an upfront financial commitment to the entire programme. Fees differ from programme to programme, and fees for individual courses can vary too, so please check the details of your specific postgraduate program. It’s also a good idea to review both your programme’s requirements and course availability before choosing your courses.

On this site you can find a ‘fees and program tool’ that will give you an indicative summary of what your postgraduate programme will cost.

Your course materials will contain the prescribed textbook and course notes/CDs that are set by the course coordinator unless otherwise stated.

The duration of courses varies depending on the programme selected and if you choose to study full-time or part-time.

If you would like to apply for entry into one of The University of Newcastle's postgraduate programmes or individual courses, you are required to meet the following general criteria:

• You must have an undergraduate degree from a recognised institution or equivalent appropriate industry experience and qualifications.

The recommended number of hours for each course is 10 – 12 hours per week. Programmes are either trimester-based, taught in three 12-week blocks starting in January, May and September, or semester-based, divided into two 13-week teaching periods, beginning in March and July.

The postgraduate programmes and courses we administer are taught by The University of Newcastle academics. The academics use Blackboard which is a Web-based environment that enables you to access, engage and interact with online information and activities, and with people in the online environment. Almost all GradSchool postgraduate programmes are taught via this online system, which creates stimulating virtual classrooms where staff and students can effectively interact.
